ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Physical Education of the College of Health Sciences at the University of Bahrain is the oldest physical education department in the Gulf Cooperation Council. It was established in 1982 and was developed to become the nucleus of the department of Physical Education and Physiotherapy. The Department is concerned with preparing school teachers to specialize in the field of physical education and to organize and manage its activities in all educational stages. The Department provides educational and sports organizations with highly-trained and well-qualified teachers to teach physical education at schools and use its resources and potentials to solve sports matters, and also to serve various educational and sports sectors for human development.
