PROGRAM LEVEL

The Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy is a four-year (eight-semester) program totaling 146 credits. This program is designed to develop knowledgeable, skilled, and principled pharmacists who can make significant contributions to the advancement of pharmaceutical education, science, and practice, ultimately enhancing community health and patients’ quality of life.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

Graduates of the BSc in Pharmacy will be prepared to:

  1. Implement the necessary knowledge, skills, and values in all pharmaceutical fields.
  2. Competently enter a future career or postgraduate studies in pharmacy.
  3. Demonstrate professional responsibilities according to legal, ethical, and professional standards of practice.
  4. Contribute to the development of the profession.
  5. Employ lifelong learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

PROGRAM INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES

The program graduates will be able to:

  1. Integrate knowledge, skills, and values to provide patient-centered care.
  2. Adhere to the legal requirements and apply the professional code of ethics throughout pharmacy practice.
  3. Apply research tools to evaluate up-to-date information related to drugs and health services and implement necessary changes.
  4. Contribute to patients’ health by offering comprehensive counseling and ensuring the safety, accuracy, and quality of medications.
  5. Utilize information technology to enhance pharmaceutical practice.
  6. Apply management and leadership principles to enhance professional relationships and patient care.
  7. Evaluate pharmaceutical practices to identify areas of self-improvement and engage in continued professional and personal development.
  8. Apply critical thinking in decision-making and participate in continuous quality improvement processes.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Pass all the major courses shown in the curriculum plan with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.0/4.0
  2. Achieving a minimum grade of C (70%) as proof of mastery on all professional courses and a minimum grade of D (60%) for non-professional courses.
  3. Successful completion of all credit hours ( A total of 146 credits)
