Ms. Jaleela Alawi

Mrs. Jaleela Alawi Sayed Hashem (M . Sc. in Laboratory Medicine, Specializing in Microbiology and Immunology 2014, Arabian Gulf University, College of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Bahrain) is a lecturer at the Integrated Sciences Department in the College of Health and Sport sciences. She has more than eight years of undergraduate teaching experience. She is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy and Microsoft Certified Educator. She has extensive experience in laboratory technology and academic exertions. Besides teaching, she is coordinating academic courses and an active member of various committees at the University of Bahrain. Jaleela supervised various students’ researches that won in academic events. She attended a microbiology course in Sweden and spent up to 34 hours on educational activities, which qualifies for up to 34 European CME credits (ECMEC), and, presented a case report; at a well-known society, the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, ESCMID. Also, she attended and gave presentations in a variety of workshops and forums. She has one published paper and two published abstracts in conference proceedings. She is currently working on completing her Ph.D., at the University of Bahrain, in the Environment and Sustainable Development program, in the field of microbiology.
