FACULTY BIO

Mrs. Jayanthi Srinivas Kotian (Masters in Pharmacology 1990-92, Bangalore University, India) is a Lecturer in the College of Health Sciences. Her area of expertise is Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics and Community Pharmacy Practice. She is a Fellow with The Higher Education Academy, London, UK. She has more than 15 years of experience in undergraduate teaching. She has worked in many areas of Pharmaceutical services. She has worked as registered licensed Pharmacist in Ministry of Defense, Sultanate of Oman. She has past teaching experience in renowned Universities in India. She was licensed practitioner in Gulf Pharmacy Groups in the Kingdom of Bahrain, assuming roles of chief pharmacist and branch in-charge. She has jointly received the first place (tie) Sh. Nasser Award (May 2018)– Bahrain Olympics Committee in the category of Medical Sports for submission of a research article with the title “The Prevalence, Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of using Androgenic Anabolic Steroids (AAS) and Powder Protein Supplements (PPS) amongst individuals attending fitness centers in the Kingdom of Bahrain”. She has presented a poster on the topic Evaluation of Anti- Microbial Activity of Some Quinazolinone Derivatives. Joint Author, in RCSI, Kingdom of Bahrain.
