"Mr. Omar Alsamani is a research and teaching assistant in the Pharmacy Program at the Allied Health Department (AHD), College of Health and Sports Sciences (CHSS). He is certified as a professional in healthcare quality (CPHQ) and Six Sigma (CSSYB) with a mini Diploma in Pharmacoeconomics. He has around ten years of experience in the pharmacy practice and research field. He worked as an outpatient pharmacy manager at King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH) and as a regulatory pharmacist at National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA). He also served as a quality coordinator, a member of the Joint Commission International Accreditation committee at KHUH, head of education and training services in the pharmaceutical services department, and a member of the Drug and Therapeutic committee at KHUH. He published five research papers in peer-reviewed, reputed international journals and has jointly received first place (tie) in the Sh. Nasser Award, Bahrain Olympics Committee in the category of Medical Sports Research (2018), Nasser Bin Hamad Military Innovation Award (2020), reached the final stage in Arab Youth Hackathon - Healthcare Innovation (2020), and first place in the lean project contest at the quality day (KHUH) (2021).
