PROGRAM LEVEL

The Degree Completion Bachelor of Science in Public Health (PH) is a two-year (60- credit) program for Associate Diploma graduates. It equips students with core public health knowledge and skills through coursework, a senior project, and a field practicum. Graduates are prepared to address 21st-century health challenges, promoting population health locally and globally, and pursuing diverse careers in public health fields.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Public Health (Completion)  will be prepared to:

  1. Demonstrate expertise in the Public Health field within the legal, ethical, and professional standards.
  2. Employ leadership roles in the field of Public Health.
  3. Pursue further career development through graduate studies.
  4. Contribute to the development of the Public Health profession through lifelong learning, research, and continuous quality improvement.

PROGRAM INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES

The program graduates will be able to:

  1. Incorporate comprehensive knowledge, skills, and evidence-based practice in delivering Public Health services.
  2. Provide holistic public health services that align with professional standards and the scope of practices.
  3. Apply critical thinking and leadership skills in the assessment and management of Public Health problems.
  4. Utilize communication skills to educate, promote, and prevent disease among diverse populations.
  5. Demonstrate ethical responsibilities by adhering to Public Health laws, regulations, and best practices in all professional endeavors.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Pass all the major courses shown in the curriculum plan with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.0/4.0.
  2. Achieving a minimum grade of C (70%) as proof of mastery on all professional courses and a minimum grade of D (60%) for non-professional courses.
  3. Successful completion of all credit hours ( A total of 60 credits).
